UAE-Egypt travel: Emirates expands Cairo network with fifth daily flight from Dubai
New Boeing 777 service boosts capacity ahead of peak winter demand
DUBAI – Emirates is strengthening its operations to Egypt with the introduction of an additional six weekly flights on the Dubai-Cairo route from 1st December 2025.
The new frequencies, scheduled for optimal global connectivity, will cater to rising passenger demand during the busy winter travel season.
From 1st February 2026, these additional services will scale up to a fifth daily flight, further enhancing the airline’s offering between the UAE and Egypt. Operated by a Boeing 777, the new service will feature revised timings designed to complement the existing four daily flights, giving travellers improved flexibility and connectivity options.
Enhanced connectivity
The updated schedule is tailored to provide smooth onward connections to major destinations across Asia, including Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand, among others. Emirates’ move reflects its confidence in the robust leisure and business travel demand in and out of Egypt, particularly as the airline approaches its 40th anniversary of operations to Cairo.
Cairo, one of the first destinations on Emirates’ global network, remains a key strategic hub for the airline. The Egyptian capital already enjoys the highest deployment of Emirates A380s in the Middle East and North Africa, outside Dubai. With the fifth daily service, Cairo will become the most served city in Emirates’ African network.

Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, said, “As one of the region’s busiest gateways for both passengers and cargo, Cairo has long been a key destination for Emirates. The additional service will make it easier for customers to connect across our network, while fostering strong trade and tourism links between Egypt, the UAE and the wider world.”
The enhanced schedule also underscores Emirates’ gratitude to the Egyptian authorities for their continued support in expanding operations.
Boost to trade and cargo
The extra frequency is set to strengthen connectivity between the UAE and Egypt while increasing cargo capacity in and out of the country. The additional service will provide 300 tonnes of weekly bellyhold capacity on the Boeing 777, supporting Emirates SkyCargo’s transport of key commodities such as Egyptian strawberries and other fresh produce to international markets.
Since its inaugural flight in 1986, Emirates has served more than 10 million passengers on the Cairo route. The airline continues to play a vital role in supporting Egypt’s aviation, tourism and trade sectors, with strong inbound traffic from China, Hong Kong, Thailand, Japan and Australia.
